London Ragas, our monthly baithak in London, continues on Sunday 11 October with Kathak. One room, close seating, no stage set back from the audience.

Alokparna Guha dances Kathak, with Debipriya Sircar singing and live tabla.

She opens with two short lecture-demonstrations, one on where Kathak comes from and one on tabla. After the interval she dances the traditional repertoire. She tells you what to look for, then you watch it.
