We have no Southampton date this autumn. Our nearest concert to you is in Oxford, on Wednesday 18 November at the Holywell Music Room: sitar, santoor and tabla in one room.

A Hundred Strings in Oxford: Two Strings, One Pulse

A Hundred Strings in Oxford: sitar, santoor and tabla at the Holywell Music Room

Adnan Khan, a Grammy-nominated sitarist, shares a raga with Vinay Desai on santoor, the hundred-stringed instrument of Kashmir. Ustad Akram Khan plays tabla for both.

The sitar is plucked and slides between notes. The santoor is struck and moves in runs. You hear one raga travel two routes.
