About KalaSudha in Aberdeen
KalaSudha's planned concerts and workshops welcome people who enjoy newly written work to discover Indian classical music in Aberdeen. New music organisation sound runs a festival in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Its 2020 project selected composers to develop new works for flute and electronics, including a composer whose writing draws on Indian classical music.
If you enjoy a premiere, you may be used to listening without knowing the piece beforehand. You can bring that openness to our proposed concerts, where we plan to present top-class Indian classical musicians. Explore our events programme for a sense of the performers and music KalaSudha presents.
Press Register for updates to follow the Aberdeen programme as it develops. Your interest will help us plan future visits. We have not confirmed local dates or artists, and workshops need sufficient interest and suitable practical arrangements.
You can begin studying before a local workshop is arranged. KalaSudha's online courses are developed with instructors and vetted by top educationists. These structured courses are available independently of live events, so learners do not need to wait for the Aberdeen programme.
