About KalaSudha in Bath
The 2025 Evening Ragas recital at Burdall's Yard explored the mood of evening through Indian classical music in Bath. Its programme described ragas as melodic frameworks associated with particular moods and times of day. The performer played part of the programme on cello. KalaSudha is planning concerts and workshops for people who would like to explore the music further.
For concertgoers, our plans are to bring top-class musicians to Bath and welcome listeners hearing this music for the first time. A concert can raise questions about the musical choices you hear. You can pursue that interest through our online courses without waiting for a Bath workshop. The courses combine structured teaching developed by instructors with KalaSudha and vetting by top educationists.
Practical sessions in Bath will need enough local interest and suitable arrangements. Dates and venues remain unconfirmed. Check the programme and start time of each announced event before making plans to attend. Your registration helps us plan future visits to the city. Press Register for updates to receive Bath concert and workshop announcements, with booking details shared as the programme is confirmed.
