About KalaSudha in Devon
KalaSudha's history of Indian classical music in Devon includes Dartington concerts in 2023 and 2025; our concert and workshop plans now look across the county. We presented our first Dartington concert on 27 August 2023. On 27 September 2025, we returned for the full-day Dartington Ragas Festival. Our Totnes page describes both of those events.
The wider Devon invitation is for listeners in towns and rural communities, including people looking beyond their nearest town for a concert. Interest from across the county will help us plan future visits. Locations and dates are still to be confirmed, so check each event's venue before making travel plans.
KalaSudha plans performances by top-class musicians, with a welcome for people hearing Indian classical music for the first time. Workshops will depend on sufficient interest and suitable arrangements in the place where they happen. Online learning is available independently: instructors build structured courses with KalaSudha, and top educationists vet the teaching. You can study without waiting for a workshop near you.
