Updated 27 October 2026 In KalaSudha's online lessons, a vetted teacher takes you through [javalis](/en-gb/vocal/carnatic-classical/javali) live and one-to-one. A javali is a short Carnatic love song, mostly in Telugu, livelier and more lilting than the padam, sung in concert and danced in Bharatanatyam. Once you have translated each line, you sing a javali one section at a time and mark where the **refrain** returns. Our [online academy](/en-gb/academy) starts beginners at **Foundation**, and you book each lesson in your own time zone. KalaSudha brings workshops and summer camps where enough learners sign up.
