We email a reminder 24 hours before a confirmed one-to-one lesson and another 20 minutes before it starts, each with a Join Video Session button. 1 min read Updated October 28, 2026 In this article [What a reminder contains](#section-0) [Who gets them, and when](#section-1) [If no reminder arrives](#section-2) We send a lesson reminder email 24 hours before a confirmed one-to-one lesson and another 20 minutes before it starts. Each reminder carries a **Join Video Session** button that takes you into the class room. ## What a reminder contains The subject reads "Reminder: Session in 24 Hours" or "Reminder: Session in 20 Minutes", followed by the instructor's name. Inside you find the session, the instructor, the date, and the start and end time with the time zone. A **View My Dashboard** button opens your account dashboard. ## Who gets them, and when - We send reminders for confirmed lessons only. A request still waiting for the instructor gets none. - If the instructor accepts less than 24 hours before the start, you get the 20-minute reminder only. - The reminder goes to the email on the account that made the booking. Your instructor gets a copy too. The class room opens 5 minutes before the start. You also find the lesson in **My Meetings** in your account menu.
