   ## FAQs about Bournemouth

Where in Bournemouth can I hear live Indian classical music, and which KalaSudha concerts take place there? KalaSudha presents Indian classical music in Bournemouth at the [Palace Court Theatre](/venue/palace-court-theatre) on Hinton Road. The [Bournemouth page](/place/bournemouth) lists each KalaSudha concert in the town with its **Book Tickets** button, and you can press **Register for updates** there to hear about new dates.

The theatre is a 1931 Art Deco playhouse, and Arts University Bournemouth is restoring it. For buses and parking, see [getting to the Palace Court Theatre](/faq/access-travel/how-do-i-get-to-the-palace-court-theatre-in-bournemouth-and-where-do-i-park).

Where can I see the KalaSudha concerts coming to Bournemouth, and how do I book tickets for them? The [Bournemouth page](/place/bournemouth) lists each KalaSudha concert in the town, and every listing has its own **Book Tickets** button. Tickets are sold only on kalasudha.com.

The **A Hundred Strings** tour includes [Ragas by the Sea](/event/a-hundred-strings-in-bournemouth-ragas-by-the-sea), a concert at the Palace Court Theatre. To hear about new Bournemouth dates, press **Register for updates** on the Bournemouth page. Once you have booked, see [how your ticket reaches you](/faq/tickets-booking/how-do-i-get-my-ticket).

I have never been to an Indian classical concert. What instruments and musicians will I hear at the KalaSudha concert in Bournemouth, and how is the evening laid out? You hear three musicians, and two ways of playing on strings. [A Hundred Strings: Ragas by the Sea](/event/a-hundred-strings-in-bournemouth-ragas-by-the-sea), KalaSudha's concert at the Palace Court Theatre in Bournemouth, brings together the **sitar** and the **santoor**, with tabla. Adnan Khan plucks the sitar and slides between notes, the way a singer does. Vinay Desai strikes the santoor, the hundred-stringed instrument of Kashmir, with a pair of light wooden mallets. He cannot slide on it, so he moves in runs. Ustad Akram Khan plays the **tabla**, a pair of hand drums.

You need no background. See [what to expect at your first concert](/faq/at-the-concert/i-have-never-been-to-an-indian-classical-concert-will-i-follow-it). The evening runs in two halves with an interval.

Can I learn Indian classical music with KalaSudha in Bournemouth, online and in person? Yes. KalaSudha's [online academy](/courses) offers classes in **every discipline** of Indian classical music, and keeps adding specialised courses and teachers. The courses are **hybrid**. When enough learners in Bournemouth sign up, KalaSudha brings physical workshops and summer camps to Bournemouth, so you can learn online and in person.

To see who each workshop suits, read [what level a workshop is pitched at](/faq/workshops-learning/what-level-is-this-pitched-at). For concerts and updates, see the [Bournemouth page](/place/bournemouth).
