Who plays on the A Hundred Strings tour?

Three musicians play sitar, santoor and tabla at every date on the tour. In Manchester, a second tabla player, Ustad Shahbaz Hussain, joins them. He lives in Manchester and teaches across the north of England.

• Adnan Khan, sitar: a Grammy-nominated sitarist from Delhi who plays in the gayaki ang, the approach that shapes the sitar after the singing voice.
• Vinay Desai, santoor: a direct disciple of Shivkumar Sharma, who received the Padma Vibhushan.
• Ustad Akram Khan, tabla: the seventh generation of his family in the Ajrada gharana.
