Updated 27 October 2026 KalaSudha teaches [dhamar](/en-in/vocal/hindustani-classical/dhamar) singing online with a live, vetted teacher. Dhamar is a dhrupad-family song form sung in the 14-beat dhamar tala, its rhythmic cycle, and most of its texts describe Krishna playing Holi with Radha and the gopis. A dhamar uses the same voice and performance pattern as dhrupad, so at **Foundation** you begin with the dhrupad way of singing: long, steady notes. Later comes **layakari**, setting the words against the cycle at multiples of the tempo. One teacher guides you over years through our [courses](/en-in/courses), and workshops and summer camps follow where enough learners sign up. Was this answer helpful?
