For listeners, patrons and musicians who practise
Indian classical music membership
What each membership includes
KalaSudha's membership has three tiers, and each includes everything in the one below. The Sadhana digital tools subscription, named for sadhana, dedicated daily practice, gives you an electronic tanpura and tabla, a notation composer and 1 GB of storage.
The Rasika membership is for listeners. A rasika is the informed listener who savours the music. It adds streaming of live concerts and the concert archive, four 50% ticket codes a year, priority booking and a member price at the KalaSudha Academy. Each code is for one ticket at any KalaSudha concert anywhere, and you can give it away.
The Ashraya patron membership is for patrons who support the artists and help shape KalaSudha's plans. Ashraya means shelter and support. It brings two ticket codes at 50% off and two at 25% off every month, in place of Rasika's four a year. Patrons also book first and join a monthly call with members and the artists' advisor. A share of every paid activity goes to our artists development fund, which pays for concerts, recordings and the promotion of the art forms.

Frequently asked questions
Every KalaSudha membership includes online practice tools, and the higher tiers add concert streaming and ticket codes. The Sadhana digital tools subscription is the tools alone: an electronic tanpura and tabla, a notation composer and 1 GB of storage.
The Rasika membership adds streaming, four 50% ticket codes a year, priority booking and 10% off Academy courses and workshops. The Ashraya patron membership adds monthly ticket codes. It also brings first priority booking, 15% off Academy courses and workshops and 5 GB of storage, plus a monthly call with members and the artists' advisor.
The Rasika membership and the Ashraya patron membership let you stream live KalaSudha concerts and the concert archive. The Sadhana digital tools subscription covers the practice tools and includes no streaming.
To start with the recordings KalaSudha releases, see the guide to listening to Indian classical music.
Rasika and Ashraya patron members get discounted tickets through coupon codes. The Rasika membership brings four codes at 50% off each membership year, all in your account, for any month. The Ashraya patron membership brings two at 50% off and two at 25% off every month, in place of Rasika's four.
Each code is for one ticket at any KalaSudha concert anywhere. It stays valid for 12 months from issue. A code from a cancelled ticket order returns to your account. You can give a code to anyone. Codes cover concerts KalaSudha runs, never events by other presenters.
The Ashraya patron membership makes you a patron of Indian classical music with KalaSudha. It includes everything in Rasika, with two 50% and two 25% ticket codes every month in place of Rasika's four a year. It also gives 15% off Academy courses and workshops and 5 GB of storage.
Patrons book first and can join the patrons list. They help shape KalaSudha's plans on a monthly call with members and the artists' advisor. A share of every paid activity goes to our artists development fund, which pays for concerts, recordings and the promotion of the art forms.
You can practise with an online tanpura and tabla in your web browser through KalaSudha's Sadhana digital tools subscription. Every KalaSudha membership includes the same tools. The tanpura holds the drone a raga is sung or played over, and the tabla keeps the rhythmic cycle.
The subscription also gives you a notation composer and 1 GB of storage.
KalaSudha's notation composer lets you write music online in sargam notation. Sargam is the Indian system that names the notes Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha and Ni. The composer is part of the Sadhana digital tools subscription, and every KalaSudha membership includes it.
The subscription also has an electronic tanpura and tabla, plus 1 GB of storage.
You can pay for a KalaSudha membership in rupees: every tier comes as a monthly or yearly plan, priced in rupees in India. Elsewhere it is priced in pounds, US dollars or euros, depending on where you live.
A yearly plan costs the same as 10 months, so two months are free. You pay by card through the site's checkout.
You can cancel a KalaSudha membership at any time, and your access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. KalaSudha gives no refund for a part period. Unused ticket codes stay usable until that period ends, then lapse.
You can also change tier at any time, up or down. The new price starts at your next renewal.
