Le **15 novembre** , ***London Ragas Fusion*** réunit quatre maîtres renommés, chacun porteur d'un univers de tradition et d'innovation dans son art. Au cœur du spectacle se trouve **Pandit Ajay Prasanna** , flûtiste trois fois nominé aux Grammy Awards et l'un des plus grands représentants du bansuri en Inde. Sa musique, empreinte de sérénité lyrique et d'une créativité brillante, a traversé les continents et les genres. À ses côtés, **Shahbaz Hussain** , virtuose du tabla reconnu et accompli, est considéré comme l'un des meilleurs musiciens européens, réputé pour ses interprétations dynamiques et complexes dans la musique classique indienne et ses projets de fusion. I don't think I've ever experienced a combination of instruments that way. I mean, I've got to say, I felt absolute bliss just running through my body throughout that entire event. I just couldn't stop smiling. The sheer artistry and brilliance of those artists was just something that I cannot even describe to anybody unless they sit there and they experience it themselves. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope that we have many, many more of these types of concerts and I hope that these artists will at least produce something together or come together on the stage. He carries forward the legacy of his father, Bholanath Prasanna, a flute master whose students include Hariprasad Chaurasia. He plays in the style of the Banaras gharana. He has performed across India and abroad, including at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London and at festivals in Asia and Europe. His honours include Grammy nominations, the Global Indian Music Award for his album Cinema, the Sangeet Ratna Award and the Surmani Award. Who is Rekesh Chauhan, and what is he known for? [**Rekesh Chauhan**](/fr-ca/artist/rekesh-chauhan) is a British pianist who blends eastern and western styles. He won the NIAA Young Musician of the Year in 2018 and the Eastern Electronica Prize. He received the British Empire Medal in the 2023 King's Birthday Honours for his music and his work for mental health in the British Asian community. His debut album, Beyond Roots, came out with Milapfest in 2015. What is a bansuri, how is it made, and how is it played? A [**bansuri**](/fr-ca/instrument/flute) is a transverse flute cut from a single length of seasoned bamboo. It has no keys and no moving parts, only six finger holes, or seven in Pannalal Ghosh's style. The maker burns or drills the blow hole and the finger holes. The player controls pitch through the lips at the blow hole, breath pressure and **half-holing**, covering a finger hole in part, which gives the slides and bends of a raga.
