About This Track
Pandit Debasis Chakroborty and Ustad Akram Khan on tabla play a vilambit gat in Raga Bageshri, set to teental, the 16-beat cycle, at slow tempo. Pandit Debasis Chakroborty returns to the fixed composition between his improvised passages while Ustad Akram Khan holds the cycle.
The gat follows the alap on track 1 and brings the tabla into the Bageshri set on Norwich Ragas. The madhyalaya gat on track 3 raises the tempo.
