What happened at the Dartington Ragas Festival in 2025?

The Dartington Ragas Festival filled a whole day at Dartington Trust Hall, near Totnes, in September 2025, with Kathak dance, dhrupad singing, sitar, Indian slide guitar, piano, sarangi and tabla. Pandit Jonathan Mayer's sitar met Pandit Debasis Chakroborty's Indian slide guitar, the raga pianist Deepak Shah played a sitar and piano duet, and Ustad Akram Khan played tabla.

The festival listing described the sets as "linked like beads on a single thread, so you can listen without needing to keep track of the time". For future dates, see how to hear about new concerts in Totnes and Dartington.
