Mentre il sole tramonta e il trambusto del giorno si ritira nelle ombre, un suono singolare e maestoso inizia a sorgere. Questo è Raag Bhoop (o Bhoopali), un raga che rappresenta la definizione stessa di equilibrio e bilancia architettonica nella musica classica indiana. 

Appartenente al Kalyan Thaat, Bhoop è un titano pentatonico. È un raga "Shuddha", il che significa che usa solo note naturali, eppure all'interno del suo quadro a cinque note risiede la profondità dell'intero universo. Se Raag Bangala è il desiderio del mattino, Bhoop è il compimento della sera. 

L'anima di Bhoop risiede nel suo Vadi, Ga (Gandhar). A differenza dei raga che si basano sull'ornamentazione complessa, Bhoop richiede una mano "stabile". Le note sono collegate da profonde glide risonanti conosciute come Meend.
