Join your video class

To join your online music class on KalaSudha, sign in, open your My Meetings page and press Join Meeting beside the class. The button switches on 5 minutes before the start time. The class runs in your web browser on kalasudha.com, with nothing to install.

Join from My Meetings

1. Sign in on the sign-in page.
2. Open My Meetings. It lists your class under Active Meetings and counts down to the start in the Status column.
3. When the countdown ends, 5 minutes before the start, press Join Meeting.
4. The page greets you by name and shows a Ready to Join card. Press Join Meeting again.
5. When your browser asks to use your camera and microphone, choose Allow.

The Ready to Join card also has Join from another device, which adds a phone or tablet as a second microphone. Set up your camera, microphone and sound for a music class explains it.

If your instructor has not arrived yet, the screen reads "Waiting for the host to start the meeting…". Stay on the page. The class starts when your instructor joins.

Other places with a join link

• Reminder emails for a booked one-to-one lesson, sent 24 hours and 20 minutes before the start. Press Join Video Session.
• The invitation email, subject "You're invited to join" followed by the class title. Press Join Meeting.
• Your course. When a session is booked for a course activity, the activity shows a Join the session link. Until then, the page reads "No session has been booked for this activity yet."

When the room opens and closes

The room opens 5 minutes before the start time and closes at the end time. Arrive earlier and the page says "This meeting is not yet available to join." It also shows the start time and the minutes left. Press Back to My Meetings and come back then. After the end time, the page says "This meeting has ended."

If you open a class link while signed out

A class link opened while you are signed out leads to a sign-in page first.

1. Press Log in and continue and sign in. You then go straight on to the class.
2. Password not to hand? Under "Do not have your password?", press Email me a sign-in link.
3. Open that email and follow the link. It signs you in.

Invited without an account?

Guests join with a code sent to their email. Follow Join a class as a guest with a code.

If this does not work

• Join Meeting does not respond. Check the start time in My Meetings. The button works from 5 minutes before the start until the end time. If your class has a new time, read My class was moved. Where do I see the new time?
• The page shows "Unable to Join Meeting". Press Try Again. If that fails, reload the page.
• No sign-in email. Look in your spam folder and read Not receiving emails from us.
• You are in, but sound or picture fails. Follow Fix sound or video problems during a class.
