KalaSudha's live online lessons cover Carnatic padams, one-to-one with a vetted teacher. A padam is a short, light classical love song in Telugu, Tamil or Kannada, sung in concert and interpreted in dance through abhinaya, expressive mime.
Each padam speaks in one voice: the heroine, her confidante or the hero. So you start with the text, line by line, learning its meaning and who speaks before you sing it. Every beginner starts at Foundation in our courses, and the course material reads in English, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Urdu, Malayalam, French or German. Workshops and summer camps run where enough learners sign up.
