Where can I learn to sing a Carnatic varnam online with a live teacher?

You learn to sing a Carnatic varnam online at KalaSudha, live and one-to-one with a vetted teacher, at the end of your early training. A varnam, set partly to words and partly to swaras, the sung note names, lays out the characteristic phrases and ornaments of one raga, or melodic framework.

Musicians treat it as a reference for that raga, and concerts often open with one. Before it come graded solfa exercises and simple songs, from Foundation on. Over years, one teacher guides you through the levels of our courses, with workshops and summer camps where enough learners sign up.
