Where can I learn to sing hori online with a live teacher?
Updated
Hori, the Holi song of Krishna's colour play with Radha and the gopis, is a form KalaSudha teaches online, live and one-to-one with a vetted teacher. In Hindustani music it takes two forms: hori dhamar, set in the 14-beat dhamar tala, a rhythmic cycle, in the dhrupad repertoire, and the freer hori thumri.
Kafi carries more horis than any other raga, the melodic framework a song follows. At Foundation you begin with the words and the stories behind them. You book in your own time zone through our courses, and workshops and summer camps follow where enough learners sign up.
