Where can I learn to sing javalis online with a live teacher?
Updated
In KalaSudha's online lessons, a vetted teacher takes you through javalis live and one-to-one. A javali is a short Carnatic love song, mostly in Telugu, livelier and more lilting than the padam, sung in concert and danced in Bharatanatyam.
Once you have translated each line, you sing a javali one section at a time and mark where the refrain returns. Our online academy starts beginners at Foundation, and you book each lesson in your own time zone. KalaSudha brings workshops and summer camps where enough learners sign up.
