Sitar Workshop in London with Maestro Shakir Khan

Join internationally acclaimed sitar maestro Shakir Khan for a rare two-day in-person workshop in London on 18 and 19 July. Rooted in the legendary Etawah/Imdadkhani Gharana, Shakir Khan brings forward one of the most respected sitar traditions in Hindustani classical music. This workshop offers students, musicians, and music lovers a unique opportunity to learn directly from him in an intimate and interactive setting. The workshop will be divided into two sessions each day, with adaptable booking options. Participants can choose to attend one session, two sessions, a full day, or the complete two-day workshop. Open to all levels and instruments, the sessions are prepared for anyone who wants to improve their understanding of raga, melody, expression, and practice, as well as the living tradition of Indian classical music.
