To license Indian classical music for film, TV, advertising or games, send KalaSudha an enquiry from the page for Indian classical music for film and TV. The same form covers an original score, session musicians and musicians on camera. We reply with a quote.

What a production can ask for

  • A licence for one of our recordings or for concert footage.
  • An original score from our artists.
  • Session musicians, in the studio or recording remotely.
  • Musicians who perform on camera.

Not sure which you need? The form has a Not sure yet option.

Send a film and TV enquiry

  1. Open the film and TV page and press Send an enquiry. The form "Film and TV enquiry" opens.
  2. Fill in your first name and email, then choose under What does your production need?
  3. Add Your production or company. Your role and a WhatsApp number are optional.
  4. Describe the job under Tell us about the production, using the checklist in the next section.
  5. Answer the check question and press Send an enquiry.
  6. Open the email we send you and press Review and confirm or decline within seven days.

What to put in "Tell us about the production"

For a licence, say how the music or footage will be used, where it will be shown and for how long. For new music or musicians, give the length of music you need and your production dates.

Licences and the artists' consent

We license a recording or concert footage only with the consent of the artists on it. We agree every use with you in writing beforehand.

What happens next

Our team receives your enquiry only after you confirm it. We then reply by email within one working day, and the quote follows from that conversation.
