In this article

The first time you visit kalasudha.com, a notice in the middle of the page asks which cookies and services you allow. You can accept them all, turn down the ones that are not essential, or choose service by service. The site keeps your choice for 180 days.

Choose in the notice

The notice reads "We use cookies and process personal data for the following purposes", lists the purposes and links to our privacy policy.

  • Press Accept to allow every service.
  • Press Deny non-essential to turn down the services that are not essential.
  • Press Customize to choose service by service.

Choose service by service

  1. Press Customize in the notice.
  2. Turn each service on or off with the switch beside it. Toggle All Services switches every service at once.
  3. Press Accept Selected to save your choice, or Accept All to allow everything.

What the panel lists

The panel sorts services by purpose. Beside a service that loads unless you switch it off, it shows "(Opt-out)". Beside one the site cannot run without, it shows "(Always Required)".

  • Under Functional, the Functional and Consent manager services are always required: the first keeps the site and your sign-in working, and the second saves your choice in your browser. External Map (Leaflet) is here too, and loads by default.
  • Under Advertising and Marketing, Advertising (Google Ads, Facebook) loads unless you switch it off.
  • Under Analytics, Google Analytics, Matomo and Umami each load unless you switch them off.
  • Under Embedded external content, YouTube and Vimeo stay off. They load once you allow them.

Watch a video you have blocked

If you have not allowed YouTube or Vimeo, a blocked video shows a prompt that starts "Load external content provided by" and names the service. Press Yes (this time) to load it once, or Always to keep that service allowed.

Change your choice later

Your choice stays in a cookie for 180 days. After that, or when the list of services changes, the notice asks you again. The page has no button to reopen the settings, so to change your choice sooner:

  1. Open your browser settings and clear the cookies for kalasudha.com.
  2. Reload the page.
  3. Choose again in the notice when it appears.

If this does not work

To read what we do with the data, see What personal data does KalaSudha collect, and how is it used? If the notice does not appear after you clear the cookies, email [email protected] or write through the contact page. We reply within one working day. See Contact us.
